Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the Thrive Dance Experience, LLC (“THRIVE”) website located at https://thrivedanceexperience.com and other websites and web portals that may be maintained by THRIVE (collectively, the “Websites”), any associated mobile applications, and any THRIVE service or content, including registration for THRIVE events (i.e. competitions, classes, etc.) (collectively with the Websites, the “Services”).  THRIVE has created this Privacy Policy to tell you what information the Services collect, how THRIVE uses that information, and who THRIVE will share that information with, if at all.

By accepting THRIVE’s Terms and Conditions of Use or by accessing, visiting, browsing, using, or attempting to interact with or use any part of the Services, you agree that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.  THRIVE encourages you to carefully review this Privacy Policy and to use the information it contains to assist you in making informed decisions about your information.

THRIVE may update this Privacy Policy at any time. You should frequently check this page for any changes to this Privacy Policy and to stay informed about THRIVE’s collection and use of your information. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or modifications have been made shall be deemed your acceptance to any new or different terms.

  1. Information THRIVE Collects

Personal Information  

THRIVE will collect your personal information when you sign up to become a user of the Services, update or modify your account information or profile, or contact THRIVE in any way.  Personal information may include, but is not limited to, your name, e-mail address, physical address, phone number, dance studio and other similar types of information.  In some situations, THRIVE will also obtain your personal information from third parties, such as dance studios, schools, or from publically available resources.  This personal information may be combined with any information that you provide THRIVE in order for THRIVE to provide the Services.  THRIVE makes no representations or warranties, and has no liability in connection with, the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information obtained from third parties.

You may use certain aspects of the Services, such as general browsing of the Websites, anonymously. In these cases, THRIVE will only collect personal information that you voluntarily submit to THRIVE. You can always refuse to submit this personal information, but such refusal may limit or restrict your ability to fully use the Services.

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 18. THRIVE adheres to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and will not knowingly collect personal information from any child under the age of 13. THRIVE asks that minors (under the age of 13) not use the Services, except by and through their parent and/or legal guardian.

Payment Information  

THRIVE will collect your payment information and share this payment information with THRIVE’s third party payment vendors to process authorized payments that you make through the Services.  By submitting your payment information to THRIVE, you agree to THRIVE’s disclosure of this information to its various third party payment vendors.

THRIVE may change its vendors from time to time in THRIVE’s sole discretion.  THRIVE makes no representations or warranties with respect to its third-party vendors who may have terms, conditions, and policies that differ from THRIVE.  THRIVE shall have no liability in connection with their processing of your payment information.  

Third Party Analytics  

THRIVE and the third-party technology providers, advertisers, agencies, and ad servers with which THRIVE engages may use third-party analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics) to evaluate your use of the Services, compile reports on your activity, collect demographic data, analyze performance metrics, and collect and evaluate other information relating to the Services. These third parties may use cookies, pixel tags, and other technologies to help analyze and provide THRIVE with data, reports, and other information.

Cookies are small text files the Services can use to recognize you as a repeat visitor and may include both session cookies, which expire once you close the Services, and persistent cookies, which stay on your computer or mobile device until you delete them. Pixel tags recognize a browser’s cookie when a browser visits a particular site on which the pixel tag is located in order to learn which advertisement brings you to a given site.  You consent to the processing of data about you and your use of the Services by these analytics providers in the manner and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Other Information

 In addition to personal information, payment information, and third party analytics, THRIVE may collect or receive additional information regarding you and your use of the Services, your interactions with THRIVE and THRIVE’s advertising, and information regarding the computer and mobile devices you use to access the Services (collectively, the “Other Information”). Such Other Information may include but is not limited to:

  • additional information about yourself that you voluntarily provide to THRIVE;
  • your IP address, which may consist of a static or dynamic IP address and will sometimes point to a specific identifiable computer or mobile device;
  • login credentials and login tracking data;
  • information about your mobile device including but not limited to network and carrier;
  • browser type and language;
  • any modifications made to your profile;
  • geolocation information;
  • referring and exit pages and URLs;
  • date and time; and
  • details regarding your activity on the Services, such as search queries and other performance and usage data.

THRIVE may also use cookies, pixel tags, and other similar technology to collection information about you and how you use the services.   THRIVE may use this type of technology for various purposes, including to:

  • identify your computer or mobile device;
  • personalize your experience;
  • analyze which portions of the Services are visited and used most frequently;
  • enhance and improve the Services and your experience using the Services; and
  • measure and optimize advertising and promotional effectiveness.

If you do not want THRIVE to deploy cookies in the Services, you can opt out by setting your computer or mobile device to reject cookies. You can still use the Services if you choose to disable cookies, although your ability to use some of the features may be affected.

  1. How THRIVE Uses and Shares Your Information

You authorize THRIVE to use your information to: (a) create an account for you to use the Services, including creating a unique identifier for you to use when logging onto and accessing the Services; (b) update the information contained in your profile; (c) provide and improve the Services and other THRIVE products and services; (d) solicit your feedback on the Services; (e) inform you about other THRIVE and third party products and services; and (f) for other legitimate business purposes.

THRIVE will share your information with those of THRIVE’s current and/or future business partners, agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, associated companies, and other individuals and entities that have a legitimate interest in or a need to know it.  You may contact THRIVE with any questions you have about the type of information that is shared (See contact information in Section 6).

THRIVE may share your information in aggregated form with THRIVE’s business partners, agents, affiliates, and other individuals and entities, for research and other legitimate business purposes.

THRIVE may also engage third-party companies and individuals to perform functions on THRIVE’s behalf such as providing technical assistance, software development, website hosting, advertising services, customer service, marketing assistance, and administration of THRIVE products and services.  These other companies and individuals will have access to your information only as necessary to perform their functions and to the extent permitted by law.

The Services may analyze certain aspects of your personal information in anonymized and aggregate form to operate, maintain, manage, and improve the Services and other products and services that THRIVE may offer. You agree that THRIVE may share and/or license this aggregate data to third parties to the extent permitted by applicable law.

THRIVE will disclose your information to protect or enforce THRIVE’s legal rights and policies, to protect or enforce the legal rights of a third party, or as THRIVE in good faith believes is required by law (such as to comply with a subpoena or court order).

  1. How THRIVE Protects Your Information

THRIVE takes commercially reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. THRIVE cannot guarantee the security of the Services or the systems of the third parties with which THRIVE may share your information pursuant to this Privacy Policy.  THRIVE cannot guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet. In particular, e-mail sent to THRIVE may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to THRIVE via e-mail.

  1. Accessing and Modifying Your Information.

You may access and review and modify certain aspects of your information at any time by logging into your account.  You may contact THRIVE in the event you have any trouble modifying your information or if you find any errors in your information (see contact information in Section 6).  THRIVE reserves the right to maintain any information that it determines in its sole discretion is accurate.

You may opt in or out of receiving certain THRIVE communications via email and text message by logging into your account, by replying to a text message communication “STOP” or as may otherwise be directed by THRIVE in such communications. You agree that your mobile carrier may assess data and other fees if you opt in to receiving these communications.

THRIVE will use commercially reasonable efforts to process opt in and opt out requests in a timely manner. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our databases. 

  1. Third Party Websites, Products, and Services

You may find advertising or other content through your use of the Services that link to the sites and services of THRIVE’s business partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. This Privacy Policy does not govern your use of these third party sites and services.  THRIVE does not control the content or links that appear on these sites and THRIVE is not responsible for the practices employed by these third parties. You should review the terms and conditions of any third party sites and services before supplying any of your information.
